One Week to 1.0

Hey everyone,

We’re just one week away from The Night Shift leaving Early Access and fully launching on Steam.

Get ready for August 7th!

I’m equal parts excited and nervous, but mostly just grateful. This all started as a uni assignment, and since November 2023 I’ve been building it out solo, learning Unreal, solving problems as they came up, and doing everything I could to make something worth playing.

The 1.0 release is the full experience. It includes the ending, new experiences, and a ton of improvements based on your feedback. The lighting feels more grounded, the pacing is tighter, the audio hits better, and the whole thing plays with more intention. Read what you can expect in 1.0, here.

If you’ve already played during Early Access, thank you. Every bug report, suggestion, and kind word has helped get the game to this point. I couldn’t have done this without you.

If you’ve been waiting for the full version, now’s the time to wishlist it, or tell a friend who might be into weird, atmospheric, story-driven horror. Every bit of support this week makes a real difference.

Also, if you’re thinking about picking it up, this is the best time to do it. During Early Access, the game includes the Supporter Pack at no extra cost. After launch, that content will become a separate paid DLC.

This is the final stretch.

One more week, then it’s out in the world.
